S-3290 - Steelcase Gesture - Grade B

i'm a big fan of clear expectations, so I appreciate how crandall attempts to highlight what makes it a grade A/B/etc. while some of the scuff marks/chips on the base were covered, I think the documentation of all of them could have been a bit more thorough. if you look at the photos from the corresponding listing, you can actually see additional scuffs on the other side of the base (toward the center) that weren't highlighted. additionally, there was one imperfection outside of the base that wasn't highlighted at all: one of the arm rests appears to have a really subtle lump in it. i'm not sure if it was just installed too tightly when it was originally assembled or what. I don't really feel any difference when my arm is resting on it, but when glancing at it in the right light/angle, it's clearly not flat/smooth as the other one. at this stage, it's just sub-par visuals, so i'll live it it. it's not worth trying to return and then rolling the dice on another authorized return that might also have some minor visual surprises. at the end of the day, the chair appears to function fine, but based on the listing, I was expecting the imperfections to be limited to the green and black arrow pointing to the chip/scuff on the base.
