Without further ado, let's jump right in!

Functionality Check:

Explore the various functions of the chair, ensuring each one works smoothly. From the gas cylinder to lean back tension and tilt lock, we'll guide you through a quick check to guarantee everything is in optimal condition. For detailed adjustments, check out our linked video in the description.

GAS CYLINDER

Lift the seat height lever located on the right side of the chair when sitting in the chair and make sure that the chair raises and lowers as it should.

LEAN BACK TENSION

Sit in the chair and recline using the leap back adjustment paddle on the right side of the chair. You should be able to adjust how much pressure it takes to recline by rotating the adjustment knob clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen the back recline.

STOP TILT LOCK

Sit in the chair and use the paddle on the right side of the chair to recline all the way back, half way and locked upright. Note: Even though the chair is locked upright you may still feel movement back and forth a bit because of the backs flexible design.

SEAT SLIDER

On the left side of the chair while sitting lift the lever up and move the seat forward and back to confirm if the seat can move back and forth. Note: Some Leap V1 do have a fixed seat and this lever may not be here. If that is the case then the chair does not have the seat slider function.

LOWER BACK FIRMNESS

Located on the back right side of the chair while sitting you will see a knob labeled "Lower Back Firmness" this adjusts the amount of firmness the back shell has for the most flexibility while sitting or a more firm back base on your preferences.

LUMBAR SLIDE

The Lumbar is a removable part and is able to be moved up and down depending on preferences.

ARMS

The arms on the Leap V1 are a different style than the Leap v2 with a more oval shape than the Leap V2's rectangle shape. Each have the ability to be 4D arms and also fixed arms. This is important to note while looking at a use Leap chair. test all of the functions by moving it side to side, back and forth and up and down to make sure all functions are working properly.

Cosmetic Inspection:

Assess the chair's cosmetic elements, such as arm pads, fabric condition, and the state of the casters. While these are fixable, it's crucial to know what you might need to replace and factor in potential expenses.

Waterfall Front Edge Design:

All Leap V2 chairs boast a unique waterfall front edge design, enhancing comfort by moving with you as you sit. Although not a formal forward tilt function, this thoughtful feature ensures continual support and adaptability.

Variable Stop Tilt Lock:

Explore the right side of your chair to discover the variable stop tilt lock. Use the paddle to set your preferred recline level with five different positions, ensuring your chair leans back just the way you like it.

Upper Back Force Tension Adjustment:

Fine-tune the pressure required to lean back with the upper back force tension adjustment. Located on the right side, this knob allows you to customize the chair's motion, giving you control over the reclining experience.

Lower Back and Lumbar Adjustments:

The Steelcase Leap V2 truly shines in its lower back and lumbar adjustments. Slide the lumbar support up and down, tailor the lower back firmness with the adjustment knob, and revel in the customizable pressure on your lower back.

Adjustable Arms:

Explore the 4D adjustable arms, offering a full range of motion – up, down, pivot, and slide forward or backward. Alternatively, there's a height-adjustable-only option for a simpler armrest experience. Remember, the choice is yours!

Headrest Adjustment:

For those lucky enough to have the OEM headrest, the adjustment is quick and straightforward. With an up-and-down ratchet mechanism, find your desired height, and enjoy the added comfort of a well-positioned headrest.
