Huge improvement for an old Leap V2

My old seat cushions were from 2008. To say the foam was tired is an understatement. The new cushions offer a dramatic improvement.

Not “easy” but worth the effort

Replacement of chair back and chair seat was not as easy as the video made it appear, but we got it done, and the chair looks great!

Extra foam on back (v2) diminishes the back's feel

I got this service, because my back was having issues. This turned out to be due to my mattress, but I figured the foam on my old Leap's seat could still use replacing anyway. I got the BioKnit fabric, which is claimed as "having noticeably softer feel compared to traditional woven fabrics." This might be true, but the OEM fabric still feels nicer/smoother to the touch. Maybe it's because it's been worn down a bit over the years. I'm not sure.

The seat turned out well, I think. I think it might have a little *too* much extra padding, but I imagine it will become perfect after months or years of break-in.

I got the extra padding on the back (which should be the new "v2" version of the extra foam option). It still feels like too much padding to me. The Leap has a great flexible back that feels like it meets my back halfway. By that I mean it has a little flex/warping to it, but it also feels extremely supportive. I feel like putting a bunch of foam on top of that reduces that feeling a little bit and results in the chair back feeling closer a less sophisticated rectangular block of foam. Also, I feel like the thicker foam results in my body heating up more. I recommend the OEM back unless the chair's original back is somehow hitting a specific pressure point on your back. There were also some strayed strings of fabric on the bottom end where it hooks onto the chair. I think taking some scissors to these would be fine, this is still a bit disappointing though. I plan on sending the new back in the box instead of my original.

The extra base foam is awesome

I had no idea how bad my chair had become until I got it refinished.

The stitching and cushion placement is a bit off on one side but my butt won't tell anyone.

Our upholstery service is a full reupholstery service, not just the sale of new seat and back pads. To maintain our inventory and continue offering this service, we require the original seat and back pads to be returned to us.

A $100 pad return deposit is included with every order. Once the old pads are sent back using the provided prepaid return label, this $100 deposit will be refunded to your original payment method.
