Crandall Steelcase 462 Leap V1 Chair Arm Pads are an excellent fit

I purchased my leather upholstered Steelcase Leap V1 chair early in 1999, 27 yeas ago. It is my home office chair and I sit in it for many hours every day. The comfort and support are unmatched and irreplaceable by any other office chair including the Leap V2 that replaced the V1 model years ago.. When the left armrest pad broke I had to get a replacement and I'm thankful that Crandall provided a recycled pair of pads quickly.
Note, the Left and Right pads are interchangeable by 180 degree rotation.

My 20 year old chair has new arm rests that aren't constantly falling off! I was pleasantly surprised to find screws were included!

Replacement Arm Pads

Original arm pad split open after 20 years. These replacements were easy to install, look good and feel comfortable. Will I update this review in 20 years? Don't hold your breath.

Excellent upgrade for the Leap V1

These arm rest caps, manufactured by Crandall, are much better than the original, rock hard design on the Leap V1. They are still firm, but they feel so much nicer on the boney parts of your forearms/elbows.

My Leap V1 actually had the older style of arms that Crandall Office does NOT make caps for. I emailed their customer service team directly, and they were able to sell me replacement arms for what I would consider a fair price.
