A Comprehensive Guide to Buying a Used Leap Chair: Tips and Considerations

Functionality Check:

GAS CYLINDER
Lift the seat height lever located on the right side of the chair when sitting in the chair and make sure that the chair raises and lowers as it should.
LEAN BACK TENSION
Sit in the chair and recline using the leap back adjustment paddle on the right side of the chair. You should be able to adjust how much pressure it takes to recline by rotating the adjustment knob clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen the back recline.
STOP TILT LOCK
Sit in the chair and use the paddle on the right side of the chair to recline all the way back, half way and locked upright. Note: Even though the chair is locked upright you may still feel movement back and forth a bit because of the backs flexible design.
SEAT SLIDER
On the left side of the chair while sitting lift the lever up and move the seat forward and back to confirm if the seat can move back and forth. Note: Some Leap V1 do have a fixed seat and this lever may not be here. If that is the case then the chair does not have the seat slider function.
LOWER BACK FIRMNESS
Located on the back right side of the chair while sitting you will see a knob labeled “Lower Back Firmness” this adjusts the amount of firmness the back shell has for the most flexibility while sitting or a more firm back base on your preferences.
LUMBAR SLIDE
The Lumbar is a removable part and is able to be moved up and down depending on preferences.
ARMS
The arms on the Leap V1 are a different style than the Leap v2 with a more oval shape than the Leap V2’s rectangle shape. Each have the ability to be 4D arms and also fixed arms. This is important to note while looking at a use Leap chair. test all of the functions by moving it side to side, back and forth and up and down to make sure all functions are working properly.
Cosmetic Inspection:
